Stage 1 | What you have experienced has shaken you. Whenever you are attacked, you receive a stacking -1 penalty to attack rolls until the end of your next turn. |
Stage 2 | You suffer from a constant state of environmental hypersensitivity. You can never be caught flat footed, and it requires at least 3 people to flank you, but you suffer a -5 penalty to all social checks and rolls. |
Stage 3 | The trauma you've suffered festers in your unconscious mind. When you attempt an extended rest, make a Will save with DC20 plus your insanity divided by 10, rounded down. If you fail, you suffer nightmares and do not gain the benefits of an extended rest. On a critical failure, you are exhausted, and have prevented those around you from completing their extended rests too. |
Stage 4 | Trauma has rendered you almost non-functional. During the first round of combat, you are shaken. During the second round, you are frightened. During every subsequent round, you are panicked. You may attempt a DC20 Will save to overcome the status effect. |
