Phobia
Stage 1
You develop an irrational fear of something innocuous. Your DM chooses or rolls for a racial type, object, action, or state of being. If you are near, doing, or are situated in the focus of your phobia, you are shaken. After a minute, you become frightened. After a further minute, you are panicked. After your encounter, you are fatigued for 10 minutes per minute spent affected.
Stage 2
The focus of your phobia becomes less exact; even similar things cause you to become nervous. For instance, if you had a phobia of demons, it may now also be triggered by evil things and Tieflings. Acrophobia may develop such that you have a phobia of stairs.
Stage 3
Your fear develops further. Even the mention of your phobic focus leaves you shaken for a minute, and you begin frightened in its presence, rather than shaken.
Stage 4
Anything that is even remotely related to your phobic focus is a cause for alarm. After an encounter with your focus, you are instead exhausted for 10 minutes per minute spent affected, and fatigued for a further 1 hour per minute spent affected. Direct contact with your focus requires you to make a DC20 Fortitude save. If you fail, you fall unconscious. If you succeed, make a DC20 Will save. If you fail, you start panicked, instead of frightened.
